Nottingham Society of Artists presents Terminus, a cumulation of Seven individuals exhibiting for their final-year degree show as part of GEN23.
Demonstrating a diverse range of photographic styles and explorative themes. Terminus investigates ideas surrounding Culture, Society’s pressure on an individual, the aftermath of wars, Youth and music subculture and the notion of feeling ambushed.
Katie Smith explores British communities enriched by other cultural practices, whom face concepts of racism during an uncertain Brexit. Georgie McGrath advocates sustainable fashion, demonstrating the alternative sources of trendy one of a kind clothing. Wesley Morgan’s project uses intimate portraiture to explore the environments that inspire local music artists in Nottingham. Alexandros Peleties’ photographs of landscapes, capturing the aftermath of a war leading him through a journey of catharsis. Katie Rogers look into everyday objects, creating big scenarios through small figurines and Angela Smales and Joe Santander’s concept of feeling trapped and claustrophobic through social or environmental reasoning.
