Looking back on 2019
Updated: Apr 18
After the lockdown in the Uk, I like many have finally found time to spend on things that matter to me which may have got overlooked with everyday life beforehand. I have finally had some time to update my website (which has been on my to-do list for about a year) and re-edit some shoots from last summer.
I have continued my studies at Nottingham Trent with a MSc in Digital Marketing. After graduating from photography July 2019, taking a course in Digital Marketing seemed only natural as my future plans are to manage the marketing of my two family business'. I took a long break from the camera and 9 months later has proved how much I miss it! I hope to continue shooting when normality returns.
Taking a look back on 2019; My two biggest accomplishments besides my graduation, was exhibiting 'No plan b' at Nottingham Society of Artists' and 'London Free Range'.
From the 22nd May- 5th June I exhibited at Nottingham Society of Artists presenting 'Terminus', a cumulation of seven individuals exhibiting for our final-year degree show as part of GEN23. A successful turn out for our opening night! And if that wasn't enough, 'No plan b' flew to 'OFF Bratislava 2019' in Slovakia alongside some other graduates shortlisted to represent Nottingham Trent University. Incredibly rewarding after a years hard work bringing 'No plan b' to life!
After a successful week exhibiting 'No plan b' in Nottingham. I had been selected to exhibit at London Free Range, along with a selection of course mates to represent our University. Free Range is held every year at the Truman Brewery, London and it is the UK's largest graduate photography and art show. A wonderful opportunity I feel privileged to have been apart of and a memorable week spent in London for the duration of the exhibition.
